Being part of the Energy Biographies project has prompted me to think about my own energy use and what kind of things I do in the same way as my parents:

• Using fabric bags for food shopping – seeing something of a revival thanks to plastic bag charges in Wales

 


  

 

• Re-using sandwich bags and tin foil – trying to reduce unnecessary waste but a step too far for a lot of people
  

   

  
    

 

• Growing vegetables – saving money and food miles, attempting to make city life a little bit greener
  

   

  
    

 

• However there are some things we do differently – stockpiling incandescent bulbs v making use of free energy saving ones!
